Ⅰ. Introduction to Pre-molded Power Cable Termination

Pre-molded power cable terminations are inlaid with stress control parts in the insulation body in advance in the factory production, no interface exists, through the stress control parts to effectively solve the problem of stress concentration at the cable shield cut. Using silicon rubber high resilience, high temperature resistance and strong aging resistance, and cable insulation to adopt interference combined design. This ensures that the interface between cable insulation and accessories is closely combined without internal creepage. In order to meet the four types of pollution environment, and design the external insulation of the accessories. 15kV prefabricated cold shrinkage power cable accessories are suitable for the connection of 6/10kV, 8. 7/15kV single/three core XLPE power cable.

Ⅱ. Features of Pre-molded Power Cable Termination

1. Made of High-performance Liquid Silicone Rubber

This material gives very good electrical and mechanical properties, stable performance of the terminal under any aggressive environment. High elasticity, heat resistance material anti-aging characteristics extend the lifespan of the terminal thus reducing on maintenance costs.

2. High Strength Resistance to Mechanical Forces

Prefabricated power cable Terminations can resist high mechanical forces. They allow for variation accommodation between different types and sizes of cables, whether single-core or three-core, ensuring that there is always a firm connection between the termination and the cable which cannot work loose due to any mechanical vibration or outside force.

3. Great UV and Weather Resistance 

The material of the terminals effectively resists any UV degradation and can keep up its performance even if mounted outdoors in direct sunlight for very long hours. It also has great weather resistance, material can acclimate to any climatic condition from high and low temperature to humidity and aridity.

Prefabricated power cable terminations are made of a high-quality insulation material that can effectively prevent electrical leakage and short-circuit incidents. The special treatment applied to the insulation material results in high insulation resistance and low dielectric loss, thus safe and reliable operation of power transmission can be attained.

4. Resistance to Corona and Tracking 

The terminal has been designed with anti-corona and anti-tracking features. With this feature, no corona discharge or even tracking formation will take place under any circumstances, even under high-voltage as well as high-humidity conditions; therefore, the service life of the terminal will not be shortened.

5 . Simple Design and Rational Structure

The terminal adopts a simple design and rational structure which makes installation and maintenance work easy. Due to its small size, it allows for proper electrical connections in confined spaces, hence applicable to different complex installation environments.

6. Built-in Stress Control

The terminal has built-in stress control components that function efficiently in managing the stresses that usually build up at the points of termination of cable shields. This product ensures an even distribution of the electric field so there is no partial discharge during operation that would reduce the quality and reliability of the product.

7. Supports Crimp and Mechanical Connections
